Martin Ronning Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Ronning (Aberdeen, South Dakota), who passed away on August 9, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigurd Ronning and Gurina Ronning (Graslie); his sons, Gary and Mark Ronning; his sisters, Sylvia Smith and Gladys Humphries Elsen; his foster daughters, Darlene Wylie and Hilda Haggerty; and his son-in-law Doug Roettele.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Palmer; his children, Marcia Paul, Janet Riggs (Monte), Joyce Voeller (Todd), Karen Howell (Ed), Jim Ronning, Jeanie Styer (Lance) and Brad Ronning; his foster daughter Sheila Roettele; his sons-in-law, Eldon Wylie and Ike Haggerty; his siblings, Mildred Armour, Helen Binegar and Ardel Ronning (Ila); his brother-in-law Merlon Elsen; and his close friend Angie Usselman. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Martin's family, who will in turn make a donation to Storybook Land in Aberdeen and the Frederick Fire Department in Martin and Patty's memory.
