He is survived by: his grandchildren, Casey Schmidt (Ashley Larsen) and Rachel Schmidt (Craig Settje); his great grandchild Oliver Schmidt; and his siblings, Harley Schultz, Maynard Schultz, Alice Schmeichel Hagge (Calvin), Elnora Unruh (Ron) and Mildred Kurth (BeDean).
