It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Jansen (Ashton, South Dakota), who passed away on September 21, 2017, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Jerald; her siblings, Bernadene Lewis (Lloyd), Donna Zens (Eugene), Lyle Hansen (Mildred) and Lester Hansen (Joan); and her siblings-in-law, Roland Jansen, Kenny Thiesen, Oscar Woodfork and Shirley Hudson.
She is survived by: her husband John of Redfield; her daughter-in-law Myra Van Baale (Jansen) of Newton; her siblings, Carol Woodfork, Veryl, Linda Thiesen, Vallerie Abernathy (Ronnie) and Cheryl Van Zee (Dale); her siblings' child Paws; Jene Jansen (Melissa) of Texas, Joel Jansen (Gwen) of Chaska, MN and Janelle Jansen of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for the United Methodist Church in Redfield.
