With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonja K. Gabel of Beresford, South Dakota, who passed away on February 3, 2021 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Conrad Ofstad and Berdice Ofstad (Siljenberg); and her brothers, Clayton Ofstad and DeLayne Ofstad. She is survived by : her husband Melvin E. Gabel of Beresford, SD; her children, Kyle Gabel (Glenda) of McKinleyville, CA, Kelvin Gabel (Ha), Lori Thompson (Bill Shuba) of Cape Coral, FL and Karin Burdick (Guy); her grandchildren, Leslie, John, Lindsey, Kristy, Nik and Nash; her great grandchildren, Adeline and Eleanor; her siblings, JoBelle Ofstad of Fresno, CA, Clarice Ofstad of Fresno, CA and Claude Ofstad of Fresno, CA; and her sister-in-law Dessa Ofstad of Kirksville, MO..
