It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Mitzel (Bowdle, South Dakota), who passed away on August 23, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Evelyn Mitzel (Zerr) and Frank Mitzel. He is survived by : his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Geier; his children, Jerry Mitzel (Barb), Ron Mitzel (Marlene) of Rapid City, Richard Mitzel (Susan) of Bowdle, Frank Mitzel (Teresa) of Houston, TX and Mary Fischer (Victor) of Bowdle; and his daughter-in-law Joan Mitzel of Rochester. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild.
