Olson of Brookings, South Dakota, born in Dell Rapids, South Dakota, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Bachman and Pansy Bachman (Duncan); her husband Gerald "Jerry" Olson; and her sister Judy Babcock. She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Harris (Dean) of Flandreau, SD and Claudia Tofte (Keith) of Volga, SD; her grandchildren, Nicole, Tanner, Brittany, Amber and Tyler; and her brother Dennis Bachman of Sioux Falls, SD.. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Joanne has made and donated over 400 masks, and has crotchet and quilted many gifts for others over the years.
