It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Hoiten of Canistota, South Dakota, who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harry Lankhorst and Bessie Lankhorst (Woltzen); and her brothers, Elmer (Ardell), Lyle and Lloyd.

She is survived by : her children, Judy Zimmerschied (Jerry) of Tonopah, AZ, Janet Hoiten (Dennis Barnhouse) of Canistota, Jim Hoiten (Becky) of Salem, John Hoiten (Karmon) of Canistota and Jerry Francis (Megan) of Salem; her grandchildren, Scott (Shelbi), Ashley (Chad) and Jody (Aaron); her great grandchildren, Shaylor, Tatum, Hudson, Bentley and Hayden; and her sister-in-law Sandra Lankhorst.
