It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth E. Ostrem (Centerville, South Dakota), who passed away on January 10, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth E. Ostrem to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Thomas Johnson and Ella Johnson (Andahl); her former life partner Bub; her brothers, Arnold, Lester and Kenneth; her siblings-in-law, Mary Lois (Eldon), Leone Ostrem Anderson, Phyllis Larson (Ostrem), Joyce Ostrem Edman, Anna Mae Ostrem Nelson, Dorwin Larsen, Russel Angerson, Robert, Arnold Ostrem, Gordon Larson and Eldon Edman; and her niece Lynnette Graber.
She is survived by : her husband Clarence Ostrem; her daughters, Judith Kaye and Judy; her son-in-law Dan McAthie; her grandchildren, Jason (Deedra) and Stacy (Todd); her great grandchildren, Allie, Max McAthie, Cooper, Noah and Madeline Wood; her siblings, Eldon and Louise; and her siblings-in-law, Lois Johnson (Kenneth), Nory Johnson (Eldon), Beverly Johnson Marie Ostrem (Arnold) and Boyd Ostrem.
Visitation will be 11AM-12PM Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 with a family service at 12PM at Wass Funeral Chapel in Centerville, SD with interment following at 1PM at Holland Cemetery Please wear masks.
