He was predeceased by : his parents, John Ommen and Freida Gillum (Popken-Ommen); his wife Jelaine Ommen (Johnson); his siblings, Vera Paswalk, Bernice Henricks, Hank Ommen and Ervin Ommen; and his sons-in-law, Ken Kittelson and Bob Hallauer.

He is survived by : his daughters, Glenda Kittelson and Deborah Hallauer of Henry; his grandchildren, Heath (Jami Williams) of Henry, Travis Kittelson (Leah), Matt Kittelson (Brandi) of Henry, Laura Leheska (David) of Chamberlain, Melissa Nesheim (Jerome) of Clark and Michael Rawlins (Jessica) of Henry; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Madeline, Colton, Cooper, Clayton Kittelson, Tyler, Luke, Sienna, Grant Leheska, Kaiden, Trevor Rawlins, Kamryn and Alex Nesheim; his brother Donald Ommen of Idaho; and also Dorene Foster.
