She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Lavin and Laura Lavin (Bogenrief); her brother Lyle "Jack" Lavin; her son David Koenecke; her brothers-in-law, Lloyd Tesch and Marvin Lebert; and her great grandchild Calley Gamrath.
She is survived by: her husband Melvin Koenecke; her children, Sharon Wiesner (Loren) and Todd Koenecke (Rita) of Pierre, SD; her daughter-in-law Sandra Koenecke of Clear Lake, SD; and her siblings, LaFoy Tesch of Brookings, SD and Dal Lavin of Clear Lake, SD. She is also survived by six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
