Thomas E. Nelson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas E. Nelson of Custer, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 31, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson (Watson); and his siblings, Cheryl and Terry. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Jim Nelson (Janette) of Okoboji, IA, Karla Oppedisano (Paul) of Princeton, TX, Greg of Minneapolis, MN, Steve Nelson (Kristin) of Independence, MO, Dallas Wilkinson (Lesley) of Custer, SD and Sundae Morgan (Sean) of Newberg, MO.; and his siblings, Mike, Scobey, David (Donna) of Washburn, ND, Barbara Sterling, Susan Patrick (Jack) of Cheyenne, WY, Linda Stuart (Jim) of Casper, WY, Diane Nolte (Mark) of Valley City, ND and Pam Jensen (Gaylen) of Hazen, ND. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, & 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Custer Lutheran Fellowship Church. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
