He is survived by: his pet Sadie; his wife Monica Leigh Merriman (Novak); his sons, Matthew Merriman (Janeth), Bradley Merriman (Tracy) and Josh Merriman (Jennifer Arpan); his grandchildren, Brianna, Mason, Matthew Jr., Elayna Arpan, Gabriella, Ian Merriman and McKenna Musch; his parents-in-law, Richard and Lorelee Novak; his brothers, Andrew (Carrie Novak), Matthew Novak (Stefanie Pearlman) and Mitchell (Melanie Novak); his siblings' children, April, Bryant and Corey Jurgens; and his close friend Rayn.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Isburg Funeral Chapels (439 S Pierre St, Pierre, SD 57501).
