With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellery Brockel of Glenham, South Dakota, born in Mound City, South Dakota, who passed away on September 6, 2021 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ellery Brockel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Louise Brockel (Dupper) and John Brockel; his wife Patricia (Gene McFarland); his granddaughter Michelle Brockel; and his stepgrandson Jesse Sanderson.

He is survived by : his children, Lynn Brockel (Joan) of Glenham, Lory Brockel (Ann) of Durham, CA, Eugene Brockel (Nancy) of Mobridge and Bridget Hicks, Sr. (Danny) of Minneapolis, MN.; his grandchildren, Adia Hicks, Brett Brockel, Brad Brockel, Jeannine Heil and Denene Wilson; and his stepgrandchildren, Nate, Tony, Chris Sanderson and Alana Winterberg.

Due to the ongoing concern around Covid they family will have a private burial service at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, feel free to make donations to Hope For The Warriors (or to your favorite veterans organization).
