He is survived by: his wife Carol Guthmiller; his children, Katherine Spitzer of Watertown, Tom Spitzer of Watertown and David Spitzer (Betsy Pierce) of Burlington, WA; and his brothers, Kevin Spitzer (Lynda) of Mina, SD and Tom Lapka (Lisa) of Chanhassen, MN..
