It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas J. Mitzel of Herreid, South Dakota, born in Mobridge, South Dakota, who passed away on February 22, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Karl Mitzel; his parents-in-law, Rose Voller and Arthur Voller; and his grandparents, Julius, Rose Lang, Edward and Martha Mitzel.
He is survived by: his mother Virginia Mitzel (Lang) of Herreid, SD; his wife Mary Voller of Herreid; his daughters, Kelsey of Sartell, MN and Kayla of Lombard, IL; and his brothers, Bruce of Herreid, Alan (Cindy) of Colleyville, TX and Terry (Lori) of Hillsboro, ND..
In leu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Tom's honor to the Linton Medical Center or the Campbell County Ambulance.
