Vern Ochsner Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 14, 2020, at the age of 84, Vern Ochsner of Herreid, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel P. Ochsner and Dorthea Ochsner (Heinz); his siblings, Martha Berreth, Esther Mehlhaff, Lenora Schulz, Ruben Ochsner, Peter Ochsner, Oscar Ochsner, Marcus Ochsner and Carl Ochsner; and his brothers-in-law, Alvin Berreth, Rupert Mehlhaff, Owen Schulz and Roger Giedd.
He is survived by: his wife Ethel J. Hofer; his children, Jodie Holm (Jeff) of Denison, IA, Shirley Dalueg (David) of New Ulm, MN, Keith Ochsner of Phoenix, AZ and Steven Ochsner (Barbara) of Fort Collins, CO.; his grandchildren, Jessmyn Holm, Joshua Holm, Brooke Dauer (Justin), Megan Dalueg, Samuel Ochsner, Kate Ochsner, Alexander Ochsner and Allison Ochsner; his sister Gladys Giedd; and his siblings-in-law, Verna Ochsner, Mavis Klaudt and Gordon Klaudt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred of the donor's choice.
