He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob S. Hofer and Mary E. Hofer (Wipf); his wife Ruth Kleinsasser; his son Nowell "Shorty" Hofer; his siblings, Martin, Richard, Eli, Jake, Dave, Johnny and Mary; and his grandson Albert Connor.
He is survived by: his children, Lowell Hofer and Rhonda Hofer; his sisters-in-law, Glenda Hofer and Elvina Hofer; his grandchildren, Casper Hofer (Sara), Toby Hofer (Becky), Kowell Hofer, Noah Hughes (Karen), Derrick Hofer (Megan), Jena Hofer, Elie Hofer (Michayla) and Simon Bullis (Kristy Sorlien); and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Miles, Kynslee, Daniel, Aubrey, Micah, Addison, Mason, Addilyn, Lainie, Sam, Emily, Cassidy, Lane and Dixie. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
