Erma N. Nikkila Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Erma N. Nikkila of Hot Springs, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Erma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Erma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Ahrens and Helen Ahrens; her husband Pete Nikkila; her stepmother Maxine; and her siblings, Carolyn, Alvina, Lois and Dwight.
She is survived by: her sons, Doug Nikkila (Brenda), Rockie Nikkila (Patty) and DeWayne Nikkila (Marlo). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
