He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Metter and Emma Metter (Schley); his wife Carolyn Vetterman; his brothers, Cecil Metter and Albert, Jr.; his brother-in-law Grateful; and his children, Marlys Van Zee (David), Lorraine Marone (Ron), Susan Brewer (Ron Teel) and Mike Metter (Peggy).
He is survived by: his grandchild Cori Nelson (Michael); his great grandchildren, Kendyll, Harper and Ashton Hess (Brock); his stepchildren, Alley, Shawn Diehl and Tenaya Nelson (Steve); his stepgrandchildren, Jakop, Karissa, Whitney, Mindy Hotchkin (Kyle), Dave, Jody Marone, Rick Marone, Kristi Alley (David) and Scot Marone (Tracy); his siblings, Margery Dubro and Raymond Metter (LaVonne); his sister-in-law Judy Metter; and also, Crew, Blaise, Brandon Van Zee (Tyniah), Laken, Summer, Josh Kogel, Sierra, Payne, Emmy, Michaela and Nichole Metter.
