She was predeceased by : her parents, Adolph J Novotny and Albina E Novotny (Koupal); her husband James Evans; her grandchildren, Heather Winter and Dusty Ruffcorn; and her siblings, Larry Novotny and Jane Rous.

She is survived by : her daughters, Evelyn Chingren (Gary) of Springfield, NE, Barbara Winter (Mike) of Gordon, NE and Susan Ruffcorn of Missouri Valley, IA; her grandchildren, Gwen Chingren Wellsandt (David), Guiliana Chingren Oppliger (Brian), Desiray Winter Bateman (Steven), Rocky Ruffcorn, Rusty Ruffcorn and Clifford Ruffcorn (Krystal); and her siblings, George Novotny, John Novotny and Dorene Fidge. She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
