He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludvig Amundson and Hannah Amundson (Johnson); his wife Patsy Gunderson (Pat); his sisters, Beverly and Loretta; and his brothers-in-law, Clifford Opsahl (Shorty) and Doug Gunderson.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Amundson of Pierre, SD, Renae Dill (Mike) of Hudson Oaks, TX and Lana Jones (Brandon) of Maple Grove, MN; his grandchildren, Cassie Long (Steve) of Pierre, SD, Nikki Krier (Dan) of Perkasie, PA, Amanda Hernandez (Joel) of Willow Park, TX, Kyle Amundson of Sioux Falls, SD, Ben Amundson of Wall, SD and Kadon Jones of Maple Grove, MN; and his brother-in-law Orris Fishbeck of Webster, SD. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
