She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton R. Ternes and Marcellina Ternes (Grosz); her husband Joe Riehl of Brisbane, ND; her daughter Sharon Anne; and her siblings, Regina Miller, Appy Volk, Philomena Miller, Teresa Stewart, Margie Leintz, Mary Fettig, Bernadette Trom, Seferious "Ex" Ternes and Emil Ternes.

She is survived by : her children, Juliette, Elliott Riehl of Watauga, SD, JoAnn Gannon of Sioux Falls, SD and Julie Montgomery of Rapid City, SD.; her grandchildren, Alysia Riehl, Tanya Koch (Chris), Josh Riehl (Adrienne), Elias Riehl, Carissa Riehl, Angie Gannon, Leo Gannon (Lynn), Sonya Johnson (Brad), Celeste Sabers (Mike), Melissa Cunningham (Dave), Monte Gannon (Jody), Michele Griffith (Tony), Rachel Waddell (Jeremy), Tyler Long (Toni) and Jessica Oster (Derek); her sisters, Alvina Lenerville of Rapid City, SD and Darlene Soucy (Jim) of Fargo, ND; her siblings-in-law, Marie Ternes of Lemmon, SD and Carl Riehl; and her sons-in-law, Robert Montgomery, Donald Gannon and Steve Long. She is also survived by 30 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
