It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Sandgren of Lemmon, South Dakota, who passed away on December 9, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her brother Marion Alfred; her grandson Matthew; her parents, Marie VanWyk (Stuit) and Gilbert VanWyk; her husband Francis "Bud" Sandgren; her siblings, Buster, Rodney and Elaine; and her siblings-in-law, James "Jim" Vliem, George Sandgren, Albert Weaver, Carolyn VanWyk, Elaine Sandgren, Shirley Weaver and Phyllis Sandgren.

She is survived by : her children, Mariette Cornella (Alton), Steve Sandgren (Susan), Georgia Sandgren, Mark Sandgren (Linda) and James Sandgren (Marci); her grandchildren, Scott Cornella (Danielle), Terry Cornella (Rachel), Allison Hanson (Dan), DeeAndra Stevens (Wayne), Lesley Kling (Cody), Rachel Dalzell (Kyle) and Kylee Sandgren; her great grandchildren, Preston Cornella, Riley, Megan, Marley Cornella, Elizabeth, Bennett Hanson, Natalie, Eden Stevens, Tucker, Bridger Kling and Eli Dalzell; her siblings, Warren VanWyk and Gladys Vliem; and her brothers-in-law, Dean Anderson, David Sandgren, Paul Sandgren (Evelyn), John Sandgren (Sharon) and Joe Sandgren. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
