He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Richter and Emma Richter (Minnaert); and his siblings, Francis (Joyce), Donald "Dutch", Earl (Joyce), Vernon, Harry (Nancy), Lorraine Hunter (Lloyd) and Bernice Metcalf (Everett).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Abraham of Madison; his children, Todd (Kim) of Colorado Springs, CO, Jobi Ashburn (Steve) of Sacred Heart, MN and Brian (Leann) of Rock Valley, IA.; his grandchildren, Kyle, Sam and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Charlie Forrest of Bret, Jessie, Hayes Allen of Isaiah and Alicia; his sister Mary Ellen Murphy (John); and his sisters-in-law, Elaine (Vernon) and Angela (Dutch). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
