He was predeceased by: his parents, Reinhold Peterson and Ellen Carlson Peterson (Johanson); his wife Jeanette W. J. Koepsell; his son Ronald Lee; his grandson Alex Pottebaum; his sister-in-law Laurence; his half-brother Clarence Peterson; his sister Violet; and his siblings-in-law, Albert Schmidt and Connie Koepsell.
He is survived by: his children, Sandi Gulbranson (Randy) of Chadron, NE, Renn Peterson and Sheila Pottebaum (Mike); his daughter-in-law Denise Pearson (Daryl); his grandchildren, Ryan (Chasity), Sara Kaye (Jason), Rusty (Lacey), Shana (Zane), Holli (Anthony) and Sarah Jane (Jason); and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Koepsell of Canova, SD and Evelyn Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren. 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Heart Association or Ramsey Baptist Church.
