She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Kurtz and Erna Kurtz (Weisz); her husband Theodore Schelske; her siblings, Edwin, Wilmer Kurtz and Linda Pietz; her niece Kathy Pietz; and her siblings-in-law, Ivan Pietz and Loretta Kurtz.
She is survived by: her children, Gary Schelske (Marsha) of Menno, Lianne Geidel of Rapid City, SD, Debra Schelske of Casa Grande, AZ and Donald Schelske (Alta) of Delmont; her brothers, Norman Kurtz of Dover, MA and Milbert Kurtz (Janet) of Mooresville, NC; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Tennis of Canada. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren.
