He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Handel and Ella Handel (Heckenlaible); his former wife Elda Rolof; and his wife Rita Hein Miller. He is survived by: his children, Deono Miller (Lonna), Terry Miller (Ingrid), Teresa Handel-Linn and Rena Oster (Bruce); his grandchildren, Larry Miller (Shari), Joseph Miller, Sharon Tazewell (Thomas), Kari Kirchmeyer (Jeremiah), Kristi Schneider (Billy), Katina Miller, Rory Linn (Sam Salstrand), Patrick Linn, Erica Schaeffer (Ben Kruetzer), Erin McClure (Sean), Brett Oster and Kevin Oster (Lindsey); his brothers, Don Handel (Beverly) and Vern Handel (Connie); and his sister-in-law Beatrice Hein. He is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
