He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Buttke and Minnie Buttke (Schwandt); his siblings, Bernice Oltman (Roy), Velva Nelling (Gordon), Luella Buttke, Laverna Buttke, Marlen Buttke and Leslie Buttke (Phyllis); and his nephew Marlow Oltman.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Bertha Buttke (Mickey) of Milbank, SD; and his nieces and nephews, Lois Grimm (Gerald) of Milbank, SD, Carol Buttke of Plainfield, NJ, Jeffrey Buttke (Rhoda) of Kenmore, WA, Linda Karnik (Donald) of Holbrook, NY, Judy Karnik (Gary) of Leland, NC, Gordon Nelling, Jr. of Calverton, NY, Joy Berry (Gary) of Milbank, SD, Michael Buttke (Gwenda) of Fergus Falls, MN, James Buttke of Sioux Falls, SD, Teresa Dornbusch (Mike) of Papillion, NE, Robert Buttke (Kelly Monaghan) of Thornbury and Ontario. He is also survived by many grandnieces, grandnephews, and their children.
Due to CoVID precautions, the family will not be present during this time.
