It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Bullis (Mitchell, South Dakota), born in White Lake, South Dakota, who passed away on February 2, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Dethlefsen and Emma Dethlefsen (Maurer); her husband James; her son David; her sisters, Ella, Gladys and Lucille; and her stepsister Wilma.
She is survived by: her children, James W. Bullis, Donna Wernick (Jules) and Judith Chivington (Donald); and her sister Darleen Schertzer of Tacoma, WA.. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
