She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Nelson and Margaret Nelson (Mohr); and her sister Mardell Smith. She is survived by: her husband Melvin Simek; her son Jeffrey Simek (Nancy); her grandchildren, Vinny, Jenna and Laura; and her great great grandchild Brantley. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
