It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert James Yost (Mitchell, South Dakota), who passed away on May 4, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Sharon Yost (Bessel); his parents, Nicholas Yost and Kathryn Yost (Arens); and his brother Lorrin Yost (Sonny). He is survived by: his former wife Sharon L. Bessel; his children, Michael Yost (Leda) of Redfield, SD, Michele Knickman (Scott) of Sikeston, MO, Mark Yost of Sioux Falls, SD, Marvin Yost (Kris) of Chesterfield Township, MI, Monica VonSeggern of Elk Point, SD, Melonie Juffer (Jeff) of Wagner, SD and Martin Yost (Stephanie) of Sturgis, SD; his sister Veronica Hix (Don) of Rapid City, SD; his sister-in-law LaVerne Yost of Salem, SD; and his close friend Agnes Winckler of Avon, SD. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
