He is survived by: his parents, William Rumbolz and Martha Rumbolz (Heckel); his sisters, Shirley Fritza of Sioux Falls and Carol Elfring of Eugene, OR; and his sister-in-law Ila Rumbolz of Mitchell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
