She was predeceased by: her husbands, Virgil R. Ohlen and Bernhoff R. Skogmo; her son Robert Ohlen; her parents, John Thiele and Pearl Thiele; her brother-in-law Marvin Meyer; and her nephew Thomas Batty.
She is survived by: her daughter-in-law Gudrun Ohlen of Boone; her grandchildren, Christine Lamont (Jason) and Nicole Ohlen (Jay); her great grandchildren, Marshall Lamont and Carson Lamont; her half-sister Beverly Twogood of Florida; and her nieces, Glorya Bohmert Papenfus, Virginia Bohmert, Marjorie Schroeder and Barbara Alexander. She is also survived by three sisters and their husbands Evelyn & Howard Selby, Margaret & Harry Betty, Betty & Bert Bohmert, two infant brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Dakota Wesleyan University. ,.
