He is survived by: his wife Ella Mertz; his sons, Steven and Steve Schneider (Theresa) of Mobridge; his grandchildren, Scott Schneider (Mandy) of Sioux Falls, Steve Schneider Jr. (Nicole) of Mobridge, Lisa Mathues (Cody) of Parkers Prairie, MN and Amanda Tesch (Jake) of Watertown; and his siblings, Della Berndt (Leland) of Mobridge and Delbert Schneider (Joan) of Garland, TX. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
