With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Vander Laan of Mound City, South Dakota, who passed away on November 23, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his brother Virgil Vander Laan; his brothers-in-law, Jim Nieuwsma, Roger Aberle and Alan Aberle; and his grandson Bain Weisbeck.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Anna Aberle; his children, Carla K Becker (Lonnie) of Laramie, WY, Trenton (Roxanne) of Omaha, NE, Tobey (Sandra) of Mound City, SD and Amber Brandner (Chris) of Piedmont, SD.; his sister Maebel Nieuwsma of Herreid, SD; and his sisters-in-law, Peggy Vander Laan and Lucille Aberle of California.
