He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph J. Herman and Genevieve Herman (Wieger); his wife Eleanora "Norie" Gau; his children, Wayne Herman and Velda Pruner; and his sisters, Sylvia Kirschman and Margaret Carlson.
He is survived by : his children, Dale Herman of Olivet, SD and Marsha Altstiel (Steve) of Sturgis, SD; his grandchildren, Matthew Pruner (Amber) of Sioux Falls, SD, Stephanie Pruner of Sioux Falls, SD, Zachariah Pruner of Sioux Falls, SD, Jeremy Herman of Sioux Falls, SD, Amy Townsend (Ryan) of Madison, SD, Angela Olson (Trevor) of Sundance, WY, KatieJo Herman of Aberdeen, SD, Steven Herman of Olivet, Sarah Koehn (Austin) of Marion, SD, Rebecca Herman of Parkston, Jenna Herman of Mitchell, SD and Scott Altstiel (Hannah) of Spearfish, SD; and his son-in-law Steven Pruner of Parkston. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Due to Coronavirus concerns, there will be a private, family graveside service held Saturday, June 13.
