She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Whalen and Josephine Bettelyoun-Colhoff; her husband Guy George Janis; her son Timothy George Janis; and her siblings, Nathan Whalen, Virgil Colhoff, Wade Colhoff, Emma "Mimi" Whalen, Jessie Whalen and Teoshole Wellington.
She is survived by: her children, Heather Janis of Pine Ridge, Denver of Pine Ridge, Waylon Janis (Marlena) of Pine Ridge, Tanya of Pine Ridge and Timonhi Janis of Pine Ridge; and her siblings, Russell, Jr. of Pine Ridge, Donna Whalen of Pine Ridge, Toni Colhoff-Richards of Pine Ridge, Cheryl White Rabbit of Pine Ridge, Krystyne Bettelyoun of Pine Ridge, Tressee Colhoff, Carol Whalen, Marty Wellington, Longmont, Charles Whalen and Minn. She is also survived by three godchildren, 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
