He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Sidney Black Horse and Nancy Grace Black Horse (Nelson); his sister Emma; and his grandsons, Carter D. Dixon, Jr., Pallbearers, Vern Buckman, Nathan Black Elk, Nelson Long, Sr., Waylon Janis, Carter Dixon, John Caldwell, Brian Sherman, Jr. and Darrent Cottier.
He is survived by: his sister Theresa Black Horse; his grandchildren, Aubree, Kaloni, Katie, Baby Theresa, Persaus, Marcia Mae, Vivian, Vinny Long, Baby Nelson and Baby Alissa; his sibling's children, Grace, Gloria Sully, Nanci Dixon and Nelson Long, Sr.; and his aunts, Ramona Tallman, Nellie Buckman, Wilma Richards, Angie Taylor, Leola Goodman, Suzy White and Rev. Rhoda Mesteth.
