He was predeceased by: his parents, Larry L. Thompson and Helen Thompson (Yellow Bear); his sister Diane Rose Thompson; his niece Daysha Storm Mesteth; his grandmothers, Edith Yellow Bear and Celeste Thompson-Peneaux; and his cousin Tammy Jo Peneaux.
He is survived by: his children, Trinity Cheyenne Thompson, Mato Akiel Najinyapi Thompson and Dominic Alexander Thompson; and his siblings, Lorna, Jessica, Barry, Larry, Dollie, Alena Thompson, Tracy Thompson of Oglala, SD and Virginia Thompson of Oklahoma. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
