She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Dismounts Thrice, Sr. and Sally Randall-Bullman; her former husband Wayne Whirlwind Horse; her children, Vernon Yankton, Rodney Dismounts Thrice, Sherree and Roxanne Whirlwind Horse; her brothers, Edward "Buddy" Dismounts Thrice, Jr. and Seth Dismounts Thrice, Sr.; her granddaughter Tia Handley; and her close friend Arthur Joe Chamberlain.
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte Dismounts Thrice of Pine Ridge, SD, Jolene of Minneapolis, MN and Carmen Whirlwind Horse of Minneapolis, MN. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
