He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Elbert McNabb and Esther E. McNabb (Steinley); his wife Connie McNabb; his sons, Gene (Jennie), Rob (Barb) and Gregg (Jena); his grandchildren, Falon, Caden, Jevon, Jayda, Paige and Morgan; and his brothers, Dennis, Eldon and Elbert.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established Darrell G. McNabb, 72, Rapid City, died Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Regional Health Home Plus Hospice.
