It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jackie Reneé Peterson of Rapid City, South Dakota, born in Hot Springs, South Dakota, who passed away on September 24, 2023, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Byron Hastings and Marceline Hastings (McCloskey); her brother Byron Hastings III; and her son Kelsey. She is survived by: her husband Ned Peterson; her children, Melody Bircher, Klint Peterson (Kelly), Colleen Phillips (Rob) and Nancy Peterson; her sister Mary Marsh; her grandchildren, Ryan Bircher, Levi Bircher, James Peterson, Morgan Phillips (Amelia), Michelle Peterson and Carson Phillips; and her great grandchild Kelsey Phillips. She is also survived by several nephews and one niece.
