He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester A. Potter and Lillian R. Potter; and his brothers, Skip, Clarke and Claude.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Schmidt; his children, Jill, Lloyd and Andy; and his granddaughter Lilliana. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
