He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Bambas and Christine Bambas (Peterson); and his daughter Tina Louise. He is survived by: his wife Linda Bambas; his daughters, Lynn Novak (Mike) of Wagner and Terri Bambas (Jeremy Eldridge) of Ravinia; his grandchildren, Daniel Novak, Derek Novak (Katie), Danieka Novak, Michaela Novak, Tanner Novak, DiMera Dvorak and Draea Dvorak; his great grandchild Kaylee Marie Novak; and his uncle Jerry Bambas (Arlene) of Lake Andes.
