He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, James and Ruth Esser; his sister-in-law Michelle Esser; and his daughter Chelsea Blomgren. He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his sons, Seth (Kelsey) and Ben (Danielle); his parents, Harry and Bernice; and his brothers, Jeff (Vonnie), Todd (Rachael), Jon (Tricia) and Wade (Heather).
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the George Boom Funeral Home (3408 E 10th St, Sioux Falls, SD 57103). A wake was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Risen Savior Catholic Church (301 N Splitrock Blvd, Brandon, SD 57005).
