It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Dean Abels of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, born in Buffalo Center, Iowa, who passed away on June 12, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joe Abels and Cora Abels (Eisenhauer); his wife Marlys Abels; his children, Jeff Veach (Mona), Lori Krenz (Ron) and Christy Kroeker (Matt); his grandchildren, Stacy Veach, Paige Gehler (Christopher), Lindsey Veach, Brittany Bandstra (Nathan), Caden Kroeker, Avery Kroeker and Maclaren Kroeker; his great grandchild Flynn Bandstra; and his siblings, Barb Weaver (Larry), Jan Kiewiet (Dave), Bev Murra (Al), Connie DeVries (Rich), Judy Lokke (Dan), Renae Goltz (Rick) and Dave Abels (Jane). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
