He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry William Mehlhaff and Janet Marie Mehlhaff (DeMots); and his nephew Nick Combs. He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Wenbourne (Robbe); his sons, Alex Mehlhaff Sioux (Jessica) and Travis Mehlhaff (Danielle Lonning); his pets, Jesse, Red, Wolf, Trapper, Roxie and Rex; his wife Robbe Mehlhaff; his grandson Wyatt; his siblings, Wanda Venenga (Gene) of Renner, SD, Mona Severson (Sid) of Denver, CO, Ginger Fleming (Michael) of Sioux Falls, SD and Paul Mehlhaff (Laura Rosa) of Great Bend, KS; his nieces and nephews, Sheila Pirrung (Dave), Melissa Severson (Olav Peterson), Sarah Someris (Dean), Patrick Fleming, Shenaeia, Sarah Mehlhaff, Eric and Shawnda Smith; his parents-in-law, Jim and Pauline Wenbourne; his brother Arnie Wenbourne (Elaine); and his sister-in-law Shannon Combs. He is also survived by five great-nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, a Memorial service will be held at a later date.
