He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henning Peterson and Marjorie Peterson (Swenson); his wife Colleen Higgins Peterson of Sioux Falls; his daughters, Shawn Peterson, Sioux Falls, Tammie Norton (David) and Nikki Gage (Brad); and his siblings, Larry Peterson, Dean Peterson (Jeannie), Dale Peterson and Marsha Bonte of Garretson. He was also cherished by five nephews.
