Ruby Jean Walton Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Jean Walton (Sioux Falls, South Dakota), born in Creighton, Nebraska, who passed away on May 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Selmer and Lydia Ickler Selmer; her husband Don Walton; her brothers, Alfred, John, Larry and David; her niece Susan; her grandson Timothy Thompson; and her children-in-law, Grayling Andersen and Cathy Walton.
She is survived by: her children, Donnie, Susan, Judy (Gary) of Sioux Falls, SD, Gary (Charity) of Rapid City, SD and Don (Jean) of Asheville, NC; and her grandchildren, Angie (Mark Gleason), Michelle (Darren Cady), Shane (Karen Andersen), Shari (Mary Andersen-Connor), Melissa (Scott Plemmons), Cindy (Rick Watson), Brandon Walton of Rapid City, SD, Brad (Brenda Walton) and Colombia. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19, there will be strict guidelines of no more than 10 people at a time for the viewing and funeral.
In lieu of flowers, any memorials would be welcome to the Plainview Social Center or the Plainview United Methodist Church.
