She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Shepherd and Victoria Shepherd (Barker); her sons, Edwayne Bernard and Alan Shepherd; her grandsons, Gabriel Heminger and Gage Heminger; her husband Delano Bernard; and her siblings, Edna Seaboy, Madeline Seaboy, Hildreth Seaboy, Moses Seaboy, Magnus Shepherd and Baby Joe Seaboy.
She is survived by: her children, Harold Bernard, Delmer Bernard, Debra Bernard, Darwin Bernard and Doreen Bernard; her siblings, Solomon Shepherd, Gideon Shepherd and Saphrona Shepherd Crawford; and her children, Thomas Wilson, Anthony Mazawisicana, Richard Hill, Dean Abraham, Lyndon Haug, Kevin LaFontaine, Michael LaFontaine, Vine Marks Jr., Cary Eastman, Derrick Bagda, Perry Lufkins, John Redday, Chris Felcia, Philmore Jackson, Steve Jackson Jr., Craig Spider, Nathan Smith, Kevin Chilson, Tracy Heminger, Darren Crawford, Marsha LaFontaine, Kim Kampeska, Cindy White Cloud, Vernon Renville and Coke Jones. She is also survived by grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
